It's harder to explain and a little convoluted, but basically three gunslingers go up against a Jesus cult taken in by a demon Pan type creature out in the woods. 12 13 This novel tells the story of a young boy who is coming-to-age while spending Saturdays catching ghosts with his eccentric Uncle Calvin. Right now I'm making my way through Little Heaven. About the author (2015) Nick Cutter is the pen name of Canadian author Craig Davidson. It's horrifying, gross, and full of the old King standby: sadistic bullies. It's by far my favorite of his, about a scout troop that runs into a flesh eating virus while out camping. I got more depth and intrigue in that one moment than an unearned dramatic backstory. I heard about him with Stephen King's blessing on The Troop. Extra weird because he had a fantastic humanizing moment halfway through the book when he was desperately trying to get Luke away from the hole and telling him to sing to keep himself focused. If you don't know the name but like horror novels, boy howdy you're about to get excited. ![]() For the last few days, I've been on an audio book binge on Nick Cutter. ![]()
